Quicksand(2012) is a kinetic sculpture. The sculpture has a vibrator underneath the bucket. As it vibrates, the sand in the bucket ripples like quicksand.
It is a concealed inward agitation that has never been expressed yet. Man is a creature of impulse. The impulse creates wave. We know somehow we conceal it and tend to appear to be unmoved. But at the same time, we are sinking in the quicksand of our thoughts. Concerning others’ eye, not being daring enough to release. Before we knew it, the leakage of concealed inward agitation will break its sturdy hard shell in the end.
